Fourth Annual "Penn State Lift For Life" Set for July 14 to Raise Donations for Kidney Cancer Association
Founded by Penn State Football teammates in 2003, Lift For Life continues to build awareness and raise donations for the Kidney Cancer Association, a charity representing a medically under-served cause. The first three Lift For Life events have raised more than $80,000 for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney cancer.

TLR9 and is currently in a Phase 2 monotherapy trial in renal cell carcinoma, and in a Phase 1/2 chemotherapy combination therapy trial in solid tumors. British scientists have discovered the gene responsible for causing kidney cancer
Until now, it has not been clear how faults in VHL can lead to the development of kidney cancer. But these findings shed light on how the faulty gene predisposes a cell to cancerous changes.
